The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing and ensuring guest satisfaction and revenue optimization through check-in and check-out at all times. Must be able to work any hours between 6AM and 11PM, Monday through Sunday. May include holidays.


Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.  Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information.  Promote the Starwood Preferred Guest Program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members.  Accept payments for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout.  Make accurate reports of receipts daily.  Cash checks and exchange currency for guests.  Deposit guest valuables in hotel safe deposit box as requested.  Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.  Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.  Listen to and solve guests' concerns.  Keep record of room availability and rate.  Log and conduct wake-up calls timely and pleasantly.  Make, confirm, and cancel hotel reservations.  Make  transportation or entertainment reservations for guests. Must maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times.


Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Prior cash handling experience necessary and must be computer proficient. General knowledge of Salt Lake City and its attractions.  Extensive knowledge of the Sheraton hotel, its services and facilities.
